For this re-project, we've prepared approximately twice the amount of material from the previous project to ensure we can deliver to as many people as possible. This is a brave quantity for a small project like ours.

However, we've moved forward with this plan to respond to your voices, hoping to deliver to everyone who couldn't purchase Ultimaflex® 2.0 last time, and especially those who told us, "I definitely want to buy it next time, so please let me know when it's re-produced!"

 

Furthermore, after the previous project, we received requests for additional individual orders, so we are also offering individual jacket and pant rewards.

While the previous project offered three colors (black, dark navy, and gray), this time, to prioritize delivering to as many people as possible without waste in production, we will be offering only the two most popular colors: black and dark navy. We appreciate your understanding.

Similar to the previous crew neck product, we have also changed the brand name on the back of the V-neck collar from the conventional "woven label" to a "transfer print." (There are no other changes in size, color, etc.)

This measure reflects improvement requests we received regarding "the feel of the collar label against the skin" and "the visibility of the label's stitching on the back." We encourage you to try it out and would appreciate your feedback.

 Due to a surge in demand, MOON-TECH products continue to be difficult to obtain. While all involved are working hard on production, the next restock is currently scheduled for around November. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this extended wait time.

Our goal is to "let everyone know the wonders of advanced technology," and we believe that "the ultimate way to know is to use it." Currently, there is a sudden surge in demand for the "MOON-TECH®" T-shirt. Despite stocking a quantity equivalent to approximately one month of last year's sales for yesterday's white restock, the main sizes sold out within minutes of going on sale, and all sizes were sold out within half a day.

We sincerely apologize that we were unable to deliver enough to the many people who had high expectations and wished to purchase.

This replenishment primarily consists of four colors: navy, charcoal (dark gray close to black), gray (light gray), and khaki. However, we have also received additional "white" stock (although a small quantity, we apologize) from the factory using remaining fabric, which had sold out yesterday.

Although we prepared twice as much material this year as last year, we still couldn't keep up with your demands. Furthermore, in response to this situation, we exhausted all materials prepared for new products and autumn/winter items and offered build-to-order production, but even then, we couldn't cope with the drastic increase in demand this summer.

We deeply apologize again for the inconvenience caused, despite the high expectations from so many of you.

MOONRAKERS is a project dedicated to "making the wonder of advanced technology known." And we believe that "the ultimate way to make it known is to have people use it."

In that sense, it is truly regrettable that we cannot deliver to so many new people who are interested.

Regarding product specification changes

From this restock onwards, the brand name on the back of the collar will be changed from the traditional "woven label" to a "transfer print." (There are no other changes to sizes, colors, etc.)

This change reflects feedback we received from customers, such as "I'm concerned about the feel of the collar label on my skin" and "I'm concerned that the stitching of the collar label is visible on the back."

The circular design, inspired by the moon, which is also MOONRAKERS' motif, expresses our ambition to achieve "moonshots" (unprecedented and extremely difficult grand challenges that, if achieved, will have a significant impact) in "the evolution of clothing."

Additionally, the integrated QR code (which links to the official MOONRAKERS website when scanned with a smartphone) embodies our desire to "connect with you through clothing and always be with you."

Project “MOONRAKERS” 

 

 

The "Invincible Pocket Tee | MOON-TECH® Oversized Tee" was released on "Makuake" in April of this year and received an overwhelming response from over 1,400 people.

This is a collaboration T-shirt with "WWS," which created products that "change the way clothes are" with their "workwear that looks like a suit," and has sold over 250,000 units.

Due to popular demand for resale after the project ended, general sales have now begun.

This project began when "MOONRAKERS" was approached by "WWS" for a collaboration aimed at "reinventing the T-shirt," following their success with suits.

We aimed to create an "invincible pocket tee" that uses "MOON-TECH®," a cutting-edge technological material with an "excessive level of functionality" featuring 12 high-level functions, transforming everyday life into a future lifestyle. This tee suppresses uncomfortable elements of summer while looking beautiful even when worn alone.

The modern oversized fit and convenient pocket design create a simple yet stylish look even when worn alone. The neckline is slightly wide for a refreshing, relaxed feel, yet maintains an exquisite fit that isn't too loose. The length is just right to look stylish on its own, and not sloppy when worn under a jacket.

With the "excessive functionality" of the material and meticulous attention to detail designed to make it look elegant and beautiful whether worn alone or as an inner layer for business/work styles, this is truly an evolved T-shirt that "changes the way clothes are."

We collaborated with Arata Iura on creating the ideal outdoor T-shirt. Arata Iura is an actor who has appeared in numerous films and dramas, but he has also been seriously involved in clothing design for many years and currently serves as the director of the outdoor brand "ELNEST CREATIVE ACTIVITY."

Why are we, "MOONRAKERS," collaborating with Arata Iura's "ELNEST"?

Today, we would like to share our thoughts with you.

ELNEST, Mr. Iura:

When I first heard about MOONRAKERS through an acquaintance, I thought, 'What on earth is this all about?'
This is because, as is common knowledge in the fashion business, advanced functional materials like "MOON-TECH®" typically require large production lots, making them accessible only to major companies and difficult for independent brands like ELNEST to acquire.

I've loved clothes since I was young and have been involved in clothing design for decades. When I first started acting, I was so engrossed in clothes and fashion that I used to introduce myself at work as "Iura, the clothes shop owner by trade."

As someone who has been deeply involved in the fashion business, to be honest, until I met Mr. Nishida and heard his story, I thought, "It's impossible to get cutting-edge materials in small lots."

MOONRAKERS, Mr. Nishida:

MOONRAKERS stocks the latest advanced materials at our own risk. Furthermore, we don't monopolize them; we supply them in small quantities to small businesses.

This initiative aims to "liberate advanced materials" for those who are seriously committed to "clothing creation" and to make the fashion business more enjoyable. It also seeks to create opportunities for a wide range of people to experience the wonders of advanced materials, which were previously only accessible to large businesses due to production lot issues, by incorporating them into clothing with diverse values.

This time, ELNEST appreciated this "unconventional aspect of the traditional fashion business" and requested a collaboration. It made us very happy that Mr. Iura found this value precious, was surprised, and delighted, as it felt like our intentions were understood.

Mr. Iura:

There are many ways to enjoy fashion, but for me, appreciating the uniqueness of materials is a huge part of it. In that sense, encountering this material was a shock.

It dries quickly even when wet, and dirt washes off easily. It doesn't smell even after wearing it for several days. Sweat hardly shows, so even gray is fine. It stretches. It offers the highest level of UV protection. It's not see-through even in white. It's tough and highly durable even with heavy use.

Even among materials that boast high functionality, this is the first time I've encountered a material with so many features that defy conventional wisdom. I thought, "Isn't this the best for us who spend a lot of time outdoors?"

Moreover, despite its unique functions, I was surprised by the fabric's texture when I saw and touched it in person. This kind of 'look' cannot be found in other synthetic fibers. I felt that this fabric could achieve the beauty of a T-shirt and the enjoyment and fun of fashion that I refuse to compromise on.

Even when wearing this T-shirt now, because the material is light and soft on the skin, I don't feel like I'm 'wearing' anything. What's even more interesting is when the wind blows. The sensation of the wind passing through my body is pleasant, and the movement of the material itself seems to make the shape of the wind visible. This is an advantage of a relaxed fit. The裏地 also feels smooth like nubuck, which is very comfortable.

To reiterate, advanced functional materials that are already widespread are one thing, but truly cutting-edge materials are almost always inaccessible to us.
What's amazing is that it doesn't look overtly functional; it can be worn as a 'normal T-shirt.' That's why I really want many people to discover this and share in this感動.

Nishida:

Wow... Honestly, Mr. Iura might be the first person to talk about "MOON-TECH®" even better than we do (laughs). I'm truly delighted.

It warms my heart that our pursuit of the highest functionality, and not just that, but also our meticulous attention to the fabric's texture and feel, was so highly praised. The detailed sizing, sewing specifications, and accessory quality, meticulously crafted by Mr. Iura, who has been involved in clothing design for many years, are simply cool. We've also been involved in clothing design for a long time, but working together taught us many new things.

To be honest, lately, we've been receiving many collaboration requests from famous people and prominent brands, but sometimes they didn't align with MOONRAKERS' ideals, and as discussions progressed, I often felt something was off.
Listening to Mr. Iura's words, I felt that it was the difference in the desire to change the existing fashion business and the "passion" for clothing creation.

The passion he puts into his acting work is also immense, which is evident in his performances. Yet, he is so passionate about clothing design and the fashion business that he calls himself "a clothes shop owner by trade." In a way, I think that's excessive, but it also aligns with MOONRAKERS' stance of "devoting as much passion to making things as we do to making them known."
After discussing this again, I realized that, unlike other projects, this was a major driving force that pushed this collaboration forward.
