Commitment to materials

The raw material for this amazing fabric is Toray's high-void hollow nylon staple fiber, which has a 45% void ratio, making it "almost half air." It is a rare material that embodies Japan's cutting-edge textile technology.
This fleece material made from this raw material was highly anticipated since its development began 20 years ago (2001), but due to difficulties in physical properties and texture, it was a very challenging development theme that had not led to commercialization in the past.

This time, Project "MOONRAKERS®" resumed this halted development and took on the challenge of creating "future hoodies made from advanced materials" that utilize the insulating and lightweight properties of air.
Furthermore, we meticulously focused on incorporating air not only into the raw materials but also into the fabric and post-processing, setting the goal of achieving astonishing heat retention performance and incredible lightweight performance, which we successfully accomplished.
