Chimaera Skin® Coat
The Chimaera Skin® Coat is an innovative product that uses the new vegan leather material "Chimaera Skin®". It reproduces the high-quality, uneven color tone of vintage leather while achieving a lightweight design of less than 500g per piece, which is less than half the weight of typical leather coats.
In addition, it offers ultra-compact performance, fitting into a B5 size (approximately 18cm x 26cm) space with a thickness of about 3cm, combined with high windproof and water-repellent properties, allowing for a light wearing experience and easy care.
Commitment to Material
The Chimaera Skin® Coat uses special polyester that, despite being ultra-fine with a single fiber fineness of 0.19 dtex due to Toray's compound spinning technology "NANODESIGN®", exhibits fine crimps with a bimetal structure. Please check out this rare fiber structure original to Toray.
Commitment to Dyeing
For dyeing, we use "product dyeing," a special dyeing method from Komatsu Matere, which has its headquarters in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and leads Japan's dyeing technology.
Product dyeing of synthetic fiber materials requires advanced technology, making it a sophisticated skill that only a few companies worldwide, including Komatsu Matere, can handle.
In fact, many famous high-end brands around the world use Komatsu Matere's product-dyed materials and technology.

Sewing is handled by Hirose Sangyo, headquartered in Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture.
With over 100 years of history, Hirose Sangyo's professional production team, known for its high technical capabilities in creating high-quality products that withstand extreme conditions, such as equipment for the Self-Defense Forces and outdoor products, performs especially careful sewing.
Commitment to Design
The product design is a simple and basic "stand-collar" coat that can be loved for a long time without being affected by trends.
It is the most basic coat style, with a simple design featuring a concealed placket (hidden buttons). The raglan sleeves are suitable for shoulder mobility, and it is also the originator of functional coats.
Furthermore, the collar, which is the most critical part for the finish of the sewing, utilizes the material's properties by carefully sewing the interlining without adhering it, which usually would be, to create an exquisitely soft nuance.
Commitment to Sustainability
With natural leather, there's a trend among high-end brands to reduce its use from the perspective of animal welfare and environmental protection, leading to a strong demand for non-animal-derived artificial leather materials (vegan leather).
However, conventional synthetic leather, a typical vegan leather material, often uses resin to achieve the texture of natural leather, which has made long-term use difficult due to resin degradation.
Chimaera Skin material uses a special manufacturing method that does not require resin, making it a sustainable product suitable for long-term use.
Convenience through Compactness
The fabric has been made extremely thin, to 0.3mm, through a special manufacturing method, enabling storage in an unusually small size for a coat.
It can be stored with a thickness of about 3cm in the B5 size (approximately 18cm x 26cm) compact storage bag included with the product, offering excellent portability and convenience.

The material possesses highly windproof properties and is also highly water-repellent. Despite being only 0.3mm thin, it effectively blocks cold winds and, combined with its water-repellent function, stands up well to inclement weather.
