"Ripple Fisher x MOONRAKERS" To all who love fishing
Today, we are excited to announce the launch of our first collaboration with Ripple Fisher, a high-end Japanese fishing rod brand. The "RF MOON-TECH® T-shirts," developed for all fishing enthusiasts, are now available on our online store!
"Ripple Fisher" is an excellent rod manufacturer based in Kumamoto Prefecture, producing high-quality, Made-in-Japan fishing rods. Their lure fishing rods, in particular, are highly acclaimed worldwide. They specialize in completely handmade production by skilled craftsmen and are known for their strong yet lightweight rod designs.
They are also a rod manufacturer that uses carbon fiber from Toray, the parent company of "MOONRAKERS."
In fact, Toray's carbon material is used extensively in high-end applications like rockets and F1 cars due to its overwhelming lightness and high strength, but it's not commonly used in fishing rods. This is because despite its high quality, it inevitably results in a higher price.
However, "Ripple Fisher" continues to use Toray's materials despite this.
During this collaboration, we heard about this and asked, "Why do you still use Toray's materials?" They answered immediately:
"Because the quality is different. Our meticulously crafted rods require Toray's quality."
We were deeply impressed by that answer. And we strongly felt that if we were to create clothing for anglers, which many had requested, we wanted to do it with them first.
The fishing scene is actually a very harsh environment, with sweat, dirt, sunburn, and odors. We wondered if the overwhelming high functionality of "MOON-TECH®" could be effective in dealing with these challenges.
Based on this hypothesis, "Ripple Fisher" had their field staff repeatedly test the shirts during actual fishing. The three functions that received particularly strong support were:

1｜Moisture-wicking and quick-drying:
"The comfort of cotton, the functionality of an ultimate dry T-shirt"—that's exactly what this shirt is. Incredibly comfortable, yet overwhelmingly functional. It didn't stick to the skin even in poorly ventilated areas, dried quickly, and remained free from stickiness.
2｜Deodorizing:
The deodorizing function, specifically targeting the ammonia odor which is a main component of sweat, significantly reduced unpleasant smells even in situations where washing was difficult. My family even told me, "Please, just wear that shirt all the time!" (laughs)
3｜Stain-resistant:
It resisted stains from fish blood and the EVA material used on rod grips, and even if stains occurred, they washed off easily. Fishing inevitably involves dirt. We tend to choose black T-shirts, but black T-shirts get hot in the summer sun. But white T-shirts are ruined after one use. With this T-shirt, a "fresh white T-shirt" became a realistic option, which was previously out of the question, thanks to its level of stain resistance.
"Ripple Fisher" began with a request from a fisherman.
"I can't catch certain fish, so I need a strong, tenacious rod."
Ripple Fisher started by building a specialized rod to meet that demand.
Their consistent stance has been to "create rods that fulfill customers' dreams," and while they have expanded their challenges over time, what remains unchanged is:
"To be a reliable tool in extreme conditions."
That's why they are absolutely meticulous about "quality" in both materials and manufacturing.
We at MOONRAKERS deeply resonate with this spirit, and with the desire to reach "all those who love fishing," we have shaped this product together.
This time, we intentionally made the sizing the same as the original MOONRAKERS, making it easy for existing MOONRAKERS fans to use. On the other hand, the design is meticulously crafted, featuring the "Ripple Fisher" logo on the left chest and back. The design exudes presence and sophistication, making it stand out remarkably in fishing scenes. This intricate design is only possible with advanced printing technology (the latest DTF printing technology). Additionally, the print on the back neck features an original double-name design, embodying the aspirations of both companies. The cool yet somewhat warm design pairs perfectly with the "MOON-TECH®" material, making it an ideal choice not only for outdoor and fishing scenes but also for everyday town use.
Moving forward, through "MOONRAKERS" activities, we aim to collaborate with and introduce wonderful people from diverse genres, not limited to apparel.
